Spring Cards From Vermont

Kathy Sherry Easter 2017

Before the month of April is out, I wanted to be sure and share these two Easter cards that we received from Kathy and Sherry, my husband’s sisters who live just a hop, skip and a jump from each other in Colchester, VT.

These cards are both such a cheerful expression of the holiday and the season! To be honest, the advent of spring is a serious business in Vermont; after six months of snowy weather, everyone is ready for some green grass and fragrant flowers to make a welcome appearance.

Kathy and Sherry, two of my Vermont rubber stamping colleagues, also learned how to make felted sheep at the library!

Kathy and I both used the same basket image from the Basket of Wishes photopolymer stamp set for our Easter cards, but she filled hers with decorated mini eggs.

We also both used ovals from the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies set:

Sherry Easter 2107

Sherry created a whimsical interpretation of spring with this card – all stamps and materials are by Stampin’ Up! except for the bird image. I love how she sponged Garden Green ink under the blades of grass – perfect!

Thanks for the cards, Kathy and Sherry; you continue to delight and inspire me!
