Another Family Birthday!

By | October 2, 2016

Yesterday my sister-in-law Mindy had a birthday; today our nephew Joe of Colchester, VT is celebrating his. October in Vermont is well-known for Leaf Peeping, so I decided to go with a foliage season theme on his card:

You may remember seeing this maple leaf out of Cajun Craze cardstock with the Boho Chic embossed design that I used on a previous card. That’s because, as usual, I had one left over from the last project and I used it as the starting point for this card.

The smaller leaves are images from the Vintage Leaves stamp set, die cut with the coordinating Leafets Framelits Dies, then tied together with a bow of Linen Thread.

That strip of Old Olive cardstock that I stamped the greeting on is also a leftover – from which project I don’t remember! But I had a stack of them saved up, and it was perfect, especially with a few gold sequins pulled from the Sequin Trim spool.

I embossed the front of the Very Vanilla card with the Woodland embossing folder. The sentiments on the front and inside are from the Best Birds stamp set.

Here are the colors that I used on Joe’s Fall Foliage card:

I kind of love this color selection; anything with So Saffron and Soft Suede really resonates with me!

Here are the supplies that I used to make Joe’s birthday card; just click on any picture to read more, see a larger image or to order online.

Price: $110.00

I had to check what leaf peeping was – never heard of it before! Another cool card. I like how you have used a vertical layout for the focal point. I want that embossing folder!
