Feeling in the Pink

By | January 13, 2016

The new Stampin’ Up! Spring Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure are so full of exciting new stamps and products that I can’t wait to try! And while not everything from my recent swap was red and pink, that was certainly a theme running throughout.

Denise Birthday Blooms

This is a darling card made by Denise, our demonstrator’s upline who organized the swap. She used the red/pink and kraft color combination, which I am really loving this season! The stamp set is Birthday Blooms and she used a piece of patterned paper from the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack. She watercolored the images with SU! ink (see page 28 of the Spring Occasions catalog for a good visual of how that’s done.) And that shimmer in the middle of the flowers is made with our new Wink of Stella Glitter Brush!

Lots of Layers

There’s a lot going on here; I’m tempted to call it a “Mullet Card” (business in the front, party in the back) because of the mountain folds that go backwards, creating three increasingly higher levels on which to attach glitter, hearts and sentiments! The stamps used on this card are from the Bloomin’ Love set in Spring Occasions, and the bold Botanicals for You from the Sale-A-Bration brochure, one of the free items you could pick with your $50 purchase.

Here is a closer look at some of the products used on these two cards; click on any picture for more information or to order:
