As I mentioned in a previous post, my sister-in-law Sherry has a goal this year to make 10 Christmas cards each month so that she’ll be ready with enough cards when the time comes! I think that’s a great idea, so to that end, my friend Anna and I got together yesterday to work on our November 2015 Paper Pumpkin kits:
Anna and I had planned to make these 10 cards before Christmas, but on the day that she was getting ready to come over, she had an unexpected injury and ended up in the hospital! She’s doing much better now, so we made up our cards today in anticipation of Christmas 2016.
We were really excited about how nice these came out! There are 10 cards and 10 matching envelopes. Anna suggested that we sponge the edges of our Old Olive mistletoe and holly die cuts, so I used Garden Green on mine.
The highlighting really adds a dimension to the greenery, and we also scored down the middle of the holly leaves with a bone folder and pushed gently to make them stand out.
Paper Pumpkin is the subscription kit from Stampin’ Up! that provides a monthly “craft escape” delivered right to your door. Everything you need to make beautiful projects like these (stamps, ink, and other supplies) is in the pretty orange box (except scissors – and you’ve already got those!) You can work on your kits by yourself or as a group project with family or friends. And a 3, 6, or 12-month subscription makes a great gift too! They are on sale now and also earn free Sale-A-Bration gifts.
