Technically it’s All Saints’ Day, but since this isn’t exactly a card-giving holiday, I’m inclined to extend Halloween by sharing the two cards that we received in the mail yesterday from Reggie’s sisters:
Don’t you just love this? Sherry made her own worn and weathered wallpaper with stamps, on the walls inside of one spooky house looking out to another in the distance, over the graveyard. This is genius! I love the little die-cut tombstones; I don’t know where she got them but they’re precious. The Hearth & Home Thinlits window die (139666) is from Stampin’ Up! and I think the word “spooky” is also, but retired.
Kathy used the same “spooky” word die as Sherry, and the front of her card was relatively clean and simple, but that was deceiving, since there was a colorful pop-up scene inside:
Kathy also incorporated a haunted house and some tombstones into her card but as you can see, her card and Sherry’s look very different.
Sherry and Kathy live just a few blocks from each other, but I can see that they’ve each been ensconced in their respective laboratories like a couple of mad scientists, cooking up cards to share!
Great card making from both Sherry and Kathy!
Thanks! We do have fun exchanging our handmade cards.
