If you were looking for some ideas for hand stamped birthday cards for the men in your life, here are a couple of fall-inspired choices:
Between out-of-town family commitments and birthday festivities for my husband and myself, I’ve been busy for the past couple of weeks and my blog postings have been few and far between! But I have a lot of hand stamped birthday cards to share, so this is just the beginning. Reggie’s birthday was on November 5th – Guy Fawkes Day, as he likes to remind us.
I used Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate and Whisper White on my card, and just in case he forgot his age I stamped off the numbers one time in Smoky Slate ink to make a more subtle background for the Bermuda Bay birthday sentiment stamped on top. I used Vintage Leaves stamps and the coordinating Leaflets Framelits Dies in Bermuda Bay ink on both Whisper White and Smoky Slate cardstock. The center panel is mounted up on foam dimensionals.
Delightfully, Reggie’s sister Sherry sent this card, another fall offering that coordinated beautifully with my card even though we didn’t consult with one another – don’t you just love when that happens?!
Sherry used a new photopolymer set from the Holiday Catalog called Totally Trees, and I love how she picked up the color scheme from the washi tape that she used horizonally across the top of the sentiment banner – Soft Suede, So Saffron, Pool Party and Calypso Coral. She also used Whisper White and Early Espresso cardstock and ink on her card.
Here are some of the products that Sherry and I used to make our Fall Birthday cards; click on any picture for a larger image, more information or to order online. Use code D2KSZNSF and allow demonstrator contact, and I’ll send you a hand-stamped thank you card that you can use again!
Love both of them. Nice of you to remind him of his age!! Actually I do forget mine sometimes so maybe this is more helpful than you know!
Lol – I think he forgets his, too. I usually round mine up to the next year, for whatever reason!
