It’s September 26th and my father-in-law, Harold Degree of Colchester, Vermont, is celebrating his 82nd birthday! Since Harold lives in Northern New England and the temperatures are finally cooling down, the fall colors are starting to appear and I like to make my birthday cards reflect the change of seasons.
I told my friends in the Hostess Stamp group last week that I’d be showing them how we can use this Into the Woods Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Catalog for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas greetings this year. Well, now I’ve added “Birthday” to that lineup by using the bear as a father figure on the front of this bright and cheerful card!
The card stock oval with the orange dots that I stamped the bear on was an extra piece that I got from the September 2014 Paper Pumpkin kit last year, but you can make your own with the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies. I computer-generated the sentiment onto card stock so I could say exactly what I wanted for this particular card.
