Happy Thanksgiving With an Autumn Wishes Card

By | November 24, 2016

Happy Thanksgiving! And best wishes for the rest of autumn as we transition into winter. The temperatures have started to fall, and we’ve been blessed with some much-needed rain here in Northern California. That’s definitely something to be thankful for! We sit down to Thanksgiving dinner with my sister and brother-in-law, Karla and Bob, and several other friends and relatives each year, and our tradition is to go around the table and each name something that we are thankful for. What comes to your mind this year?

We got this beautifully handstamped card from sister Sherry, made with the Woodland embossing folder and the retired Among the Branches set:

I especially love how she embossed the birch trees on the neutral Sahara Sand background, perfect for stamping the colored leaves, but then she made the tree trunks pop by sponging white craft ink onto the raised parts. A very cool and artsy look by published stamp artist Sherry Degree Pakulski!

Here are the colors that Sherry used in her Autumn Wishes card:

And here are some of the supplies that she used to make her card. Click on any picture to see a larger image, to read more or to order online:

Happy Thanksgiving and best autumn wishes to all of you!
