A few years ago I attended a Stampin’ Up! Convention in Salt Lake City, and Kinda Eclectic was one of the new collage inspired sets that we worked with for a “Make & Take” project:
We tried a technique on this card that I sometimes forget about – using the embossing folder as a “stamp” by sponging a little ink on the raised parts, then pressing the cardstock onto it to give a very subtle background pattern (the honeycomb embossing folder and the punch for the small yellow flowers were both retired a couple of years ago.)
Here’s another card that we made at the 4th Saturday Stamp Class in April using the same Kinda Eclectic stamps:
Along with the stamp set, I included a few other items that will be retiring at the end of May, or while supplies last. We used Tip Top Taupe ink and cardstock, both of which are 2015-2017 In Color that are leaving. As of this writing, the Tip Top Taupe re-inker has been sold out, but the Classic Stampin’ Pads and the cardstock are still available!
I also used a 5/8″ strip of Designer Series Paper from the retiring Cupcakes & Carousels Paper Stack, and the retiring Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches.
Current and continuously available colors used on these cards include Garden Green, Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay and So Saffron.
Here is a list of all the products from both cards that are retiring and will be discontinued by May 31st or earlier if supplies are exhausted. Click on any picture for more information, and remember to add the Hostess Code G2VU4FJH when placing an online order!
They are both gorgeous!! Great depth. Lovely effect with the subtle printing with the embossing folder.

I adore both of these. Such a great look. And it has never occurred to me to use an embossing folder just as a stamp. But it is a great idea. Thanks for the inspiration again!
