On swap day, our friend Susan showed Ann and I how to make a Christmas card that I really love! It’s simple but elegant with some shiny gold accents, and it would be a really easy card to reproduce when making multiples and time gets short:
It was inspired of Susan to use the Woodland embossing folder as a background to give the impression of a forest setting for the two trees from the Peaceful Pines photopolymer stamp set, and their coordinating Perfect Pines Framelits. Traditional Christmas colors are used on this card, but they’ve been given a vintage look by pairing Old Olive green with Cherry Cobbler red and the Crumb Cake neutral adds a “Christmas past” feeling.
One of my favorite touches on this card is the use of the Gold Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. It’s a little something that adds a lot – and it complements the gold of the 1/8″ ribbon strip that wraps across the card behind the trees.
Here are the supplies used to make the Oh, Christmas Treat! card. All of these products are from the big annual catalog. Click on any picture for more information, a closer look or to order online:
Nice job! I have some tree dies in graduating sizes and this is a good way to use them. Thanks!
Sure! We can thank Susan for this sharing.
