Oh, Christmas Trees!

By | December 21, 2016

There were two Christmas Tree cards in the mail this week; Both cards utilize creative corner treatments and matting on gold cardstock to enhance the images:

Here is one of Kathy’s upcycled Christmas cards, embellished with rubber stamping and a sparkly green jewel! She sent this one to my parents and I had a chance to snap a quick pic of it when we were visiting my folks this weekend.

This one made by Mindy is really her style, clean & simple. She has made a lot of creative cards with the different watercolor swashes from the Work of Art set, like last year’s snowman,  and this tree is just the latest. If I was guessing, I’d say she used Old Olive and Chocolate Chip ink for the tree, and Real Red glitter on the ornament dots.

Here are a few of the supplies that Mindy used on her Work of Art tree card. Do you recognize the swashy elements that she used on her Christmas tree?

Supply List

Is your tree up and ready for Christmas Sunday? What are your plans? We will be having dinner for six – and we won’t have to grill pork chops on the BBQ after all – Reggie and I bought a new oven last night to replace ours that bit the dust! It will be delivered on Thursday, just in time to do some baking ahead of time 🙂

We love your comments!
