Penguins and Christmas Do Mix!

By | December 10, 2016

The first Christmas card of the year arrived yesterday, hand stamped by one of my Stampin’ Up! colleagues in the 24/7 Stampers group, Karen Thomas of Pennsylvania:

Maybe you can see that she sparkled up the penguin’s hat with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, always a nice touch, but I told her that what I love the most is how she used the Brick Wall embossing folder and effectively turned it into an igloo background by using it with Whisper White cardstock!

This card is really cute and easily repeatable if you want to make a stack quickly to send out to a bunch of friends. I happen to know that Karen did exactly that; she sent Christmas cards out to a group of us 24/7 Stampers all over the country. Karen and I have met at Stampin’ Up! conventions in the past so it is nice to renew our friendship with a handstamped card.

Here are the supplies that Karen used to make her Penguin Candy Cane card. The current Hostess Code is 44VNGYRC for anyone who is ordering online and would like to allow demonstrator contact to receive a free, reusable handstamped card as a Thank You from me (note – the Stitched Framelits Dies are on backorder will not be orderable until the middle of January):

Can’t you just see making a stack of these cards in several different colors; red, green and blue for example? They would look great and Christmas-y in any of those choices!

I was going to say the same thing! As soon as I saw it, I thought the ‘igloo’ was a touch of genius! Great fun, plus a super colour choice.
