Remember Those Swaps?

I didn’t forget!

Swirly Bird & Scribbles Swaps

A while back I mentioned the Stampin’ Up! demonstrators’ gathering that I attended with my friends and said that I would be sharing some more swaps from that event. Here are a couple of cards that we made with the Swirly Bird stamp set and matching Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies. I’ve shown you a few cards made with these products already, but these two cards from the swap are a nice pair because they both use the new 2016-2018 In Colors, and they show how you can use the stamp set with the dies, or without. You can purchase both in a bundle like this:

or buy the stamps and dies separately, depending on what you want to do with these innovative pieces!

Both cards use the Shimmery White cardstock (101910) which is really quite gorgeous; it’s got that subtle sparkle like the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (141897) would give, except that it’s over the entire surface! This cardstock is also perfect for watercoloring.

Here are the colors used in the “hello” card (the first two and the last one are new “In Colors”):

And here is the color scheme used on the “Hooray” card (the first two are new “In Colors”):

I love this year’s new In Colors, and as you can see, they go beautifully with some of the other colors in our collections.

Both the “hello” card and the “Hooray” card are very easy to make, but you will certainly impress your recipients if you send either one of these on-trend designs. Here are the supplies you’ll need; click on any picture for more information or to order!

This set didn’t really catch my eye until I saw this card at your house the other day. The new in-colors are so vibrant and pretty, I usually don’t buy the in-colors but after seeing this these in person I will.

Susan, I’m glad you like the Swirly set and the new In Colors after seeing them on the card personally! And I hope you will come back and stamp with me soon 🙂

Thanks! I think so too; I didn’t design them, but I did stamp them at the swap and these swirly shapes are fun.

In case you wondered, I really like the “Hooray” card, mainly because the dominate color is Flirty Flamingo – my favorite new In Color this season. It’s a yummy color, kind of between cotton candy and bubble gum!
