Retiring Products Give These Cards a Lift!

By | April 28, 2017

Happily, we will continue to create beautiful cards with the Lift Me Up stamps and Up & Away Thinlits dies since they will be included in the June 1st Annual Catalog! However, on this card set, I’ve used embossing folders, sequin trim and Designer Series Paper that are all on the Retiring List and will only be available through May 31st, or while supplies last:

Balloon Duo

One nice thing about the Lift Me Up stamp set is that the greetings are really interchangeable – I used one greeting on the card front, then another inside, and vice versa on the other card:

Festive Embossing Folder, Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim, Very Vanilla, Bermuda Bay, So Saffron and Pool Party cardstock, Chocolate Chip ink.

You can see that I used a subtle pattern from the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack for the background on the large balloon and on the greeting. The colors of this DSP helped me to pick the colors for the rest of my card.

Calypso Coral Balloon

Boho Chic Embossing Folder, Blushing Bride Sequin Trim, Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral, So Saffron and Blushing Bride cardstock, Chocolate Chip ink.

The fun thing is, I used the back of that same sheet of DSP with a Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral and Early Espresso patterned paper for the second card, also guiding me to what colors to use on the front.

Here are the products that I used on both cards (including retiring products!) I attached the Sequin Trim to the balloon die cut with Mini Glue Dots, and I mounted the larger balloon up on Stampin’ Dimensionals foam dots – one of my favorite and most essential accessories!

Supply List

Be sure to click on the image of the Cupcakes & Carousel Designer paper stack above and look at this fun collection of papers. There are four each of 12 double-sided 6″ x 6″ sheets (24 designs in all!) For the price, I think the Designer Series Paper Stacks are the best value and variety because you can do so much with 48 papers in the handy 6″ x 6″ size.

Hot air balloons are so cheery, aren’t they? I really like these stamps and dies. Great use of the sequin trim too. Funnily enough I bought some from a shop near my sister’s place a while ago… I keep getting good ideas from you! Hope you have a good weekend.
