It’s always a good day when a new issue of Take Ten or The Stampers’ Sampler comes out; it’s always a better day when someone I know has a card published within its pages!
The Autumn 2015 issue of Take Ten hit the bookstore today and I was there, excited to see who might be published this quarter. Sherry Pakulski of Colchester, VT has a card on page 62 selected for the Layout Design Challenge:
Sherry is my sister-in-law, and I will be flying out from California to Vermont to stamp with her soon! The hallmark of Sherry’s art, I think, is “attention to detail.” She does meticulous work, and that’s why she has become a regular contributor to these magazines. Everything about this card makes me “Happy,” including the clever title that she gave it.
Moving from the East Coast to the West Coast, I was delighted to find this card by Suzanne Delaware of Seattle, WA on page 127:
I had admired some of Suzanne’s previous work published in an earlier issue and contacted her to let her know how much I loved her cards. This has led to a correspondence that has been fun as we enjoy watching for each others’ cards when the new magazines are published. Suzanne is a retired educator, and this piece reflects her background and the vintage style that she enjoys creating. Isn’t that replica index card just perfect?
Rubber stamping and paper arts bring friends together, whether near or far. Which of your dear friends or family members who live far away would love receiving a hand-crafted card from you?
