When it comes to a birthday, a graduation, a wedding, or even a baby, you know you’ve got some time to plan ahead and make a card, right?
But often, that’s not the case with a Get Well card – sometimes you have to set everything else aside and get to work on that card, pronto! That’s what I did with this Get Well Llama card for my friend’s husband who is recovering from knee surgery. You want to get something cheerful and manly in the mail right now, and that means clearing your workspace of all the flower stamps and pink inks!
I usually try to use only one or two stamp sets when I make a card, but I did use a third set on this one. I thought the desert scene needed a brilliant sunshine, like this one from the Kinda Eclectic set that I stamped in Daffodil Delight ink on the corner of a piece of So Saffron cardstock and then cut out with my super sharp Paper Snips. I think it did indeed come out brilliantly, how about you?
Here are the Stampin’ Up! colors that I used on this card, all available in coordinating cardstocks and inks (click on each swatch to see what other products are available in these colors):
Here are the supplies that I used to make the Get Well Llama card, in all of the different formats available (bundles, photopolymer, wood mount, clear mount.) Click on any picture to find out more about that product in the Online Store:
Fabulous card. If the recipient couldn’t “get back in the saddle” it would certainly cheer them up. Love llamas. Great stamp.

Thank you, Florence. The more I work with the llama the more I enjoy it.
Great cheerful card. Llamas are so cool!
Thanks! Yeah, llamas would make anyone feel better!
