The Spirit of Christmas Continues

By | December 27, 2016

The gifts have been exchanged, the visitors have come and gone, but the Christmas tree remains, and we can still enjoy that spirit that comes but once a year.

Nora and Renee Christmas 2016

Here are a couple more beautiful handmade cards that we received this year that I haven’t had a chance to share with you yet! On the left is a card made by one of my stamp group friends, Nora. She dry-embossed the Holy Family image on black cardstock, added a gold metallic star with a little glitter, and mounted it on a background of striped vellum, for a great effect in its simplicity.

Renee Christmas 2016

This second card, with matching envelope, was a happy surprise, because it came from my cousin Renee, who is not a stamper herself, but is an admirer of our craft. She told me that she purchased this card at a holiday show. I recognized immediately that this was one of the cards from the Stitched With Cheer Project Kit (142012) from the Holiday catalog, and the good news is, it is one of the retiring products that has been reduced by 40% ($14.40, reg. $24.00) through January 3rd, or while supplies last:

(142012) Stitched With Cheer Project Kit $14.40 sale

This cool kit has all of the paper and accessories to make 18 cards, 6 of each design, and each one includes hand stitching with the included Baker’s Twine and needles. Not only that, there are patterned paper liners for each of the coordinating envelopes. What a deal! If you got this kit now and took your time over the next few months to make these sweet cards, you would have 18 Christmas cards ready for next year, a great head start for when things get busy.

The only thing that is not included in this kit are the stamps and ink that are used on the sentiments or backgrounds, from the Stitched With Cheer set (142182) of 27 photopolymer stamps, also retiring on January 3rd, or while supplies last:

142182 Stitched With Cheer (27 photopolymer stamps) $21.00

Sure, these stamps are nice to have, since they coordinate perfectly with the kit, but if you’re like me, you are already thinking about stamps that you already have that would also work with these cards!

Use the links above to read more about the Stitched With Cheer stamps or project kit, and at the same time look again at the offerings in the Year-End Closeouts sale, through January 3rd. The December Hostess Code is 44VNGYRC and if you use it with an online order and allow demonstrator contact, I can send you a reusable handstamped thank you card!
