‘Tis a Gift to be Simple

By | September 22, 2016

This is the last of the nine cards that Ann, Susan and I made to swap with each other last month to prepare samples for the Holiday catalog, and it’s one of my favorite!

As I mentioned in an earlier post, one of Susan’s favorite materials is designer series paper, and a card can be both simple to make and beautiful when using a lovely patterned paper like this one from the Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper. It coordinates so nicely with the Paisleys & Posies stamps and Paisley Framelits dies. Just a trio of die cuts in the same colors that appear on the paper – Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze and Delightful Dijon – some Linen Twine and a Classy Designer Button and you’re done!

All of the colors used in this Simple Gifts card have coordinating products that you can view by clicking on the color swatches:

Supply List

Susan loves working with Designer Series Paper; I use embossing folders on my cards quite often. What is your favorite papercrafting product (besides rubber stamps?)

One of the best things about following other blogs is that you are exposed to different idea, colours, pattern and so on. I don’t think I would ever have considered this colour scheme, or using that patterned paper in this way, but I think it looks absolutely super! Love it.
