I’m still having fun, working with my Foxy Friends stamp set, and luckily, when you’re the card artist, you can make the Fox say anything you want him to!
This time I decided to make a different kind a card, a type of Z-fold, and when it is opened you’ll see what I mean:
It’s pretty simple; you just cut and score a card base from Smoky Slate as usual, but then on the front of the card, you’ll score a line down the exact middle to make a flap that can fold back.
In the meantime, you will construct an 8 1/2″ x 1 1/4″ piece of Emerald Envy cardstock, also scored in the middle, and then one side of it scored again exactly in the middle. (I also covered mine in a couple of places with some narrower strips of A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper from the Stack.) This strip is attached to the card opposite to the fold that you’ve made on the card (long strip attaches to short fold as shown):
I stamped the tree stump with Basic Gray Archival ink on Smoky Slate cardstock and cut it out with Paper Snips. I attached it to the card front on the strip with a little SNAIL adhesive, right where the card folds. Then I stamped out my fox pieces in Calypso Coral and Memento Tuxedo Black ink, punched them with the Fox Builder Punch and assembled, attaching them on the card front as shown.
The two pine trees also come in the Foxy Friends set. I stamped them with Emerald Envy ink on Mint Macaron cardstock. You could cut them out with Paper Snips, or do what I did – die cut them with the corresponding dies from the Perfect Pines Framelits set. I finished off my card with a bow of Mint Macaron Grosgrain ribbon (surprise! this is a sneak preview of a new product from the Holiday catalog!)
Here are the colors that I used on my Beautiful Fox Z-Fold card, along with Whisper White:

This is a very cool card. I love the shape.
Thank you – it’s a fun one to make.
