Working Together is Half the Fun

By | October 11, 2015

As I mentioned in my previous post, the stamp group came over yesterday for our monthly meeting. We made the Watercolor Wings Pop-Up card that I described last time (http://stampingwithvalory.com/2015/10/08/watercolor-wings-pop-up-preview/) and also a clean and simple Christmas card that is easy to make in quantity and would be a great way to use up any Designer Series Paper that you have left over from last year! Lots of colors would look fantastic; blues, purples, pinks – get creative and be sure to add a little sparkle!

Noel Card 1

As promised, this card uses another pattern from the “Into the Woods” Designer Series Paper from this year’s Holiday Catalog, but this time for Christmas. Last month the stamp group used some of this paper for the Halloween Boo Bird card (http://stampingwithvalory.com/2015/09/20/more-stamping-fun-with-the-ladies/) Next month we will use this pack again for a Thanksgiving-themed card. How versatile!

Noel Card 2

As with the Boo Bird card, we used sentiments on this card from the Happy Scenes photopolymer set in the Holiday Catalog.

Noel Card Detail

The simplest of adornments are perfect for the tree; a small star punched from Gold Glimmer Paper and three Rhinestone Basic Jewels colored with a red permanent Sharpie marker. Voila!

Hostess Stamp Group Oct 2015

Anna, Susan, Nora and Nancy

Although we missed Darlene and Kathy this month, the rest of our group was in attendance and we bonded over ink, paper and stamps, enjoyed refreshments brought by our Hostess Anna, and caught up on each others’ lives since last month. Working – and stamping – together is half the fun!

Here are the supplies we used to make the Noel Tree Christmas Card:

Thanks, Susan! We often meet on the second Saturday, but it’s not specific; we let the current monthly hostess pick her Saturday each month.
